The South African Guild of Motoring Journalists (SAGMJ) has announced the Jury and Trainee Jury members for the 2017 WesBank South African Car of the Year event, at its Annual General Meeting.

Automotive PR South Africa is delighted to announce that our team member, Anica Krüger, has been recognised as trainee juror. Trainees, who must complete a minimum of two years Jury training, are industry-recognised journalists who have attended manufacturer launch events, and/or have driven test vehicles during the eligibility period

The eligibility period for vehicle ranges to be considered for the 2017 WesBank South African Car of the Year competition closes  on 31 August 2016. Full members of the SAGMJ will have the opportunity to vote to determine which of these vehicle ranges will be the competition’s semi-finalists. Thereafter the Jury cast their votes to determine the finalists by 27 September 2016. On 1 and 2 February 2017 the Jury put the finalists through stringent testing. Vehicles are put through their paces at Gerotek Test Facilities in Pretoria.

The 2017 WesBank South African Car of the Year will be crowned at a black tie event on 15 March 2017.
