A 100-year-old German auto supplier, HELLA KGaA Hueck & Co. was seeking greater visibility within the North American auto industry. The company’s North American president and CEO sought a public relations program to complement the company’s advertising campaign.
After an extensive and highly competitive selection process, HELLA chose AutoCom Associates as its North American public relations agency of record in 1999. Since that time, media roundtable meetings and technical briefings have resulted in numerous articles featuring HELLA. Awareness for automotive lighting systems now has been extended to HELLA’s technical innovations in electronics.
Recent programs designed to raise awareness for the company included media briefings at The Society of Automotive Engineering’s (SAE) annual World Congress and SAE Convergence 2010, as well as several joint press events with General Motors, technology briefings at various Detroit Tech Crawl programs and media programs in connection with the annual North American International Auto Show.
